APANTEC has been awarded a contract to provide RMS for Bechtel Corporation at the Hanford Tank Wast Treatment and Immobilization Plant. The contract includes the delivery of two Adjacent-to-Line Gamma Radiation Monitoring Systems.

APANTEC has successfully installed a gamma Criticality Alarm System at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai, India. The system consists of 3 RM1W Display and Control Units, 3 GI1VI detectors, computer workstations, 2/3 Logic Programmable PLC, UPS with batteries, DORIS Server and Client Software, Power over Ethernet, and external alarm system. A demonstration was given to the end user and health physics team after installation.

APANTEC has been awarded a contract to provide RMS for Areva NP, Ltd. that will be installed in the Filtered Containment Venting Systems (FCVS) of the Wolsong 2, 3 and 4 nuclear reactors. The contract includes:

  • 4 Particulate and Iodine Sampling Systems
  • 4 Noble Gas Monitors (including two Noble Gas Samplers)
  • 4 RM1R Remote Display & Control units
  • DORIS Software to provide real-time data reporting and control

APANTEC is pleased to have been awarded a contract by AECL for containment isolation monitoring systems at Pt. Lepreau generating station. The SOW includes Model SD55 2”x 2” NaI detector with SDA3E pre-amplifier/SCA, CIM43 lead shield, CS9G check source, local RAM616 display and control unit, and remote RAM606 display and control unit and has a Minimum Detectable Concentration (MDC) of 1E-7 uCi/cc of Cs-137 in a 1 mR/hr background.

APANTEC is pleased to have been chosen by Battelle/PNL to support the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Office of Second Line of Defense (SLD) with Mobile Radiation Detection Identification Systems (MRDIS). This detection instrumentation will screen containerized cargo for special nuclear and other radiological materials as it moves through the global maritime shipping network. The Megaports initiative will install radiation detection systems at high-volume international seaports.
